Building Architecture - Windows and doors - Window frames |
 |
|
Window frames, rollers and shutters, and sidings for buildings are frequently made from PVC profiles. Available in a wide range of colours, they are resistant to UV rays and bad weather conditions and are virtually maintenance free. They are also easy to fit and maintain and provide excellent heat insulation. The PVC resins used also have the following fundamental mechanical properties: high intrinsic thermal stability, very easy gelling and processing, improved impact properties (by using impact modifiers and/or PVC resins from the emulsion process), reduced sensitivity to moisture and flame-retardancy.
