Fire Resistance in Plastics 2009, is an international conference that will take place on 1st & 2nd December (Frankfurt –DE), dealing about the latest developments and trends in the fire retardant polymer markets.
Claudine Bloyaert, Technical Market Development for SolVin, will present a paper about the “Fire behaviour of new PVC structured composites”.
The paper will present a rather comprehensive catalogue of tests usually used to assess the fire performance of rigid vinyl articles (from L.O.I. to S.B.I.), and guide the readers to the most appropriate test for their needs.
This will be illustrated by a series of evaluations on PVC composites structures, among them the recently patented Nidacell® honeycomb, FibroVin a long glass fiber vinyl composite sheet, and their combined sandwiches.
