Dr Rick Whiteley, an international toxicologist expert, has presented a paper under the name of SolVin at the CABLES 2007conference (organised by AMI) held in Cologne, on March, 6th, 2007. The title of the paper is :"Should Toxicity of Fire effluents be measured ? and, if so, How ?".
The aim of this paper is to have a neutral expert's eye looking at the toxicity of plastics materials during a fire, and try to analyse if some real differences are observed between them and wether it is relevant to keep this criteria.
