100% compliance of ECVM Industry Charter for the environmental parameters of VCM emission in the production of Emulsion PVC.

The charter concerning the PVC Emulsion process limit to a very low level the emissions of VCM to air and water. All members of ECVM have signed this commitment.

ECVM contracted Det Norske Veritas to conduct the first external verification to assess compliance of the Emulsion charter.

The plants have been audited end of 2004 against the combined three criteria for VCM emissions to air, to water and in final product.

As formerly for the very stringent commitment regarding the VCM and Suspension PVC productions, the two Emulsion SolVin plants of Tavaux and Rheinberg have been awarded 100% compliance.
