Six winners to be disclosed during Kunststoffe 2004 in Düsseldorf
108 contestants applied for the second SolVin Award for PVC innovation, which will distinguish six of them at a ceremony to be held on October 2004 at Kunststoffe 2004 in Düsseldorf.
The profusion of entries demonstrates the inventiveness and enthusiasm of those who are preparing for the future of PVC, at all stage of the products’manufacturing, and life cycle. The applicants, coming from differents UE countries including newcomers like Hungary and Poland, were essentially processors and compounders, but also academic institutions, additives or machine-tool producers, private persons, and designers.
Their files will be submitted now to a jury of five representative and highly qualified independent experts : Mrs Mierop, managing director of La Cambre (ENSAV), Pr Michaeli, Institut for Kunststoffverarbeitung in Aachen, Pr Buekens, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Mr. Claes, European Plastics Converters (EuPC), and Mr Schoemans, Association of Plastics Manufactures in Europe (APME).
