In Johannesburg in 2002, world leaders declared: "sustainable development is a central element of the international agenda"

PVC is an excellent product that underpins modern life. The PVC industry (23.000 businesses) is highly committed to the Johannesburg declaration, and has been putting into practice an integrated approach to deliver responsible, full cycle product stewardship. This approach is called the Voluntary Commitment of the PVC Industry, whose working programme and implementation are carried out by Vinyl 2010 (legal entity).

Vinyl 2010 is heavily involved in several different recycling techniques and projects. They all aim to develop the best end-of-life treatment for each type of waste stream.
